Celluma’s unique LED technology emits safe, UV-free low-level light energy that profoundly affects tissue at the cellular level. Blue, red and near-infrared lights are the most commonly used wavelengths in LED phototherapy. These specific wavelengths are well researched and scientifically proven to produce therapeutic benefits. Blue light penetrates through the epidermis and is known to kill P. acnes bacteria. Red light penetrates into the dermal layer and has been shown to enhance collagen and elastin production through photo-biostimulation of fibroblasts for improved skin tone, quality, clarity, and texture. Near-infrared light penetrates deepest to increase micro-circulation and tissue repair, as well as decrease inflammation and reduce pain.

Irene is a licensed acupuncturist in the State of Florida and is certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (Dipl. O.M.) by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). She began her studies at the prestigious Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, and continued studies at The Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Before graduating, she developed an absolute passion for women’s health and reproductive medicine that led her to work her way to obtain and become a fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (https://aborm.org/patients/).

In addition, Irene has extensive experience working with psycho-emotional issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Irene has always had a passion for health and nutrition and as a now long-time practitioner of meditation and yoga, Irene threads mindfulness teachings into her treatment sessions. She uses a comprehensive strategy of care that is educational and effective. Her aim is to help patients unfold into overall greater health and well-being.
